CYA Cloth Diapers, Covers, & More
Please note that it's better to choose your size from your baby's measurements rather than
weight. Two babies weighing the same can be built completely differently and need
different sizes. The weight approximations that I list are just that, approximations.

Pocket and Fitted Cloth Diapers:
My pocket diapers have an outside layer of waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate), an
inside layer of soft microfleece to wick moisture away from your baby, and a pocket
between the two for your favorite insert.  My fitted diapers have an inner layer of soft organic
bamboo fleece and a quilted bamboo soaker pad, with a cute flannel print outer layer.
Diapers have elastic around the legs and across the back for a great, trim fit. You can
choose either highly adjustable velcro closures or reinforced snaps for a more secure
closure.  The velcro option comes with laundry tabs to make washing easy and will keep
your diapers nicer for longer.

Note: Unless your baby is very round about the tummy or extremely tall, my medium diapers
will usually fit most babies through potty training. I'm always happy to do a size exchange,
so I'd recommend starting with a medium size for larger babies and sizing up if needed.

Washing Instructions: Rinse off any poos as you change diapers. Run a cold water rinse
on all diapers. Wash on hot with 1/4 normal amount of detergent, rinse in cold with a
second rinse if your diapers were really messy. Machine dry high. I recommend using the
delicate cycle on your washing machine. Also make sure your laundry tabs are closed
when washing and drying. Diapers will shrink a little and become more absorbent after the
first few washes.

Wool Wraps:
Wool covers are great for heavy wetters and nighttime use. My wool covers are two layers of
soft wool knit and are available in a great assortment of beautiful colors. My cashmere
covers are the softest covers you can find! CYA Wool Wraps fit well over my fitteds as well
as other brands and prefolds. Elastic in the leg gussets and back waistline are great at
controlling leaks and provide a comfortable fit.  Velcro or snap closures are detailed in each
item listing.

Washing Instructions: CYA Wool Wraps should be hand washed in warm water with a
lanolin wool wash such as Sudz ‘n Dudz or Eucalan.  You can also use a tiny bit of baby
shampoo, but you'll need to lanolize a bit more often.  First, rinse in cool water, then wash
according to wool wash directions.  Hang or lay flat to dry.  Wool covers only need to be
washed once every two to three weeks unless they're leaked on.  Be very careful not to
agitate too much or change the temperature of your wool too quickly or it will shrink. Also,
brightly colored covers should be washed and lanolized separately for the first few washes
in case the colors bleed a little.

How to Lanolize: Before using, and then every couple of months, or if you notice your covers
leaking, you will need to lanolize your wool covers.  In a small container, add a pea-sized
dollop of lanolin and warm water.  Microwave 30-45 seconds to melt the lanolin.  Add the
melted lanolin to a sink of warm water.  Swoosh your covers around and soak for 30
minutes.  Gently squeeze out the water and hang or lay flat to dry.  Make sure they’re
thoroughly dry before using.  You can find Lasinoh lanolin in many stores along with the
breastfeeding supplies; it comes in a small purple box and one tube will last a looooooong
time. Cashmere covers will need to be lanolized more often than regular wool.

PUL covers:
CYA PUL covers are one layer of waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate) in your choice of
fun colors or prints. These covers are a bit more trim-fitting than my wool wraps since
they're thinner and not as stretchy. Each cover can be used several times before washing
(assuming no poop leaks) - just wipe out the inside and let it dry. Available with either
velcro or reinforced snap closures.

Washing Instructions: You can wash your PUL covers along with your diapers. Rinse,
wash on hot, then machine dry or hang to dry to extend the life of your covers.

Mei Tai Baby Carriers:
CYA Mei Tai baby carriers are a great way to wear your baby, either around the house or on
the go!

Front Carry Instructions:
1. Tie waist strap behind your waist with mei tai upside down and the pattern facing your
legs in the front (like tying an apron around your waist).
2. Hold your baby chest-to-chest and arrange their legs to the sides (or frog them under
their bottom for tiny babies who can't stradle yet).
3. Raise mei tai body up behind baby's back, bringing shoulder straps over your shoulders.
4. Cross straps behind your back and bring to front. You can tie behind baby's back (best
for tiny babies), under their bottom (good for toddlers), or twist straps twice behind their
back and bring back under their legs to tie behind your back (good for all babies).

Back Carry Instructions: (for babies 6 months+)
1. Tie waist strap in front of your waist with mei tai upside down and the pattern facing your
body to your back.
2. Position your baby on your back (this takes practice, but yes, you can do it by yourself!).
3. Raise mei tai body up behind baby's back, bringing shoulder straps over your shoulders.
4. Cross straps across your chest and bring to back, or just bring them under your arms for
backpack style. You can tie behind baby's back, under their bottom, or twist straps twice
behind their back and bring under their legs to tie in front.

Confused by the instructions? Check out some You Tube videos to see how it's really done:

There are bunches of other good You Tube videos – just do a search for mei tai.

Washing Instructions: Machine wash gentle cycle in cold water, air dry, warm iron if
needed. Spot cleaning is usually recommended as excessive washings may cause printed
patterns to fade.
